WNBA Draft: Hailey van Lith joins forces with Angel Reese in the Sky

Former Louisiana State teammates returned to the WNBA.
Chicago Sky chose TCU point guard Hailey van Lith in the 2025 WNBA Draft, and despite being the Horned Frog star last season, she rejoined Windy City’s Tigers Sister Angel Reese.
Van Lith has played in three different elite teams in her five college seasons, and she also won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics with the women's 3×3 basketball team.

But Van Lith has won the highest WNBA draft prospect this year after a huge season at TCU. She shot from the field with a career-high 45.9% shooting percentage, averaged 17.9 points per game, and also had 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
Van Lith, in turn, won the Big 12 Player and Rookie of the Year award while helping the Horned Frog not only win the regular season title, but more importantly, the Big 12 champion too.

Van Lith began her career in Louisville, where she played for her first three seasons in college. She is the all-ACC champion in the back-to-back seasons in 2022 and 2023, the former being the last four for the Cardinals.
She will continue to participate in Kim Mulkey's program at LSU, where she worked with Reese for the 2023-24 season. Many people are interested in seeing how Van Lith is suitable for running the Tigers offense, but she averages just 11.6 points and posted her lowest professional shooting percentage at 37.8%.
Van Lith has pushed her hatred aside over the past season, cementing her value at a professional level, while Sky used the second pick in the first round to grab her.
