Russia says Ukraine violates the past day's suspension of energy infrastructure strike
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Ukraine has carried out six attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure over the past day, violating a moratorium on U.S. brokers who encounter energy infrastructure targets, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Ukraine and Russia agreed to pause the strike on each other's energy facilities last month, but both sides repeatedly accused each other of destroying the suspension.
The ministry said in a statement published on the Telegram Messenger app that Kiev damaged the energy infrastructure in part of Russia's control in the Rostov and Kursk regions of Russia and in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine.
It also said that Ukraine had two failed strikes in Russia's Krasnodar region, including on a compressor station serving Turkstream pipelines, which transports gas from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea.
Reuters cannot verify the battlefield report.
